For five years, Eileen was on the PTA board for Fairfax County Public Schools. As a PTA leader, she knows what is important to parents, our kids, and our community.
She currently serves on the Fairfax County Public Schools Child Care Advisory Council, which is a program that ensures that our kids have safe and productive activities after school. She also serves on the Fairfax County Public Schools Business and Community Advisory Council, which fosters communication between the public schools and the business community. Additionally, she is currently a board member of Jobs for Virginia Graduates, which is a program that helps recent graduates find good paying jobs.
That is why she will lead the fight to prevent massive cuts to Fairfax County Schools.
Eileen served in the Warner and Kaine administrations in the Governor's Liaison office in Washington, D.C. She worked across party lines with Virginia's Congressional delegation and members of the Governor's cabinet. She advised the Governors on state and federal relations and chaired the National Governors' Association Executive Committee Staff Advisory Council during Governor Warner's term.
Currently, Eileen works with several high tech companies to bring jobs to Virginia, and work with those companies to become engaged in our community through public-private partnerships.
A graduate of Ithaca College and the Washington College of Law at American University, Eileen has over two decades of experience in both the public and private sector. Eileen Filler-Corn has been a resident of Fairfax County for 20 years and a resident of Springfield for the last 15. She and her husband Bob have two children, Jeremy (15) and Alana (13).
